The Importance of Taking a Break

Give Yourself a Break!

 

Take time to get out of your head ...

 

  • Take a walk every day (Preferably in nature!)

  • Take an Epsom salt bath with lavender essential oils

  • Meditate

  • Take a yoga class

  • Get a massage

  • Take a road trip – even just for the day

  • Create! Lose yourself in a project that inspires your creativity!

  • Start a gratitude journal

  • Volunteer

  • Learn to juggle

 

These suggestions may sound like distractions yet actually each has a purpose and an impact on your brain and central nervous system.  The ultimate goal here – retraining your brain's muscles to promote healing and relaxation.
